The Chronic Illness Alliance is committed to protecting its members’ privacy and complying with the National Privacy Principles. We do not retain any personal details regarding our members on this website. Only publicly advertised details of our member organisations (address, organisational phone number, information line etc) appear on the website. Names and contact details of individual or private members are not published on the website.
When member organisations join, the Chronic Illness Alliance requires the name of a staff member, his/her email address and the contact phone number. Individuals who join the Alliance will provide the same details. These details are for the purpose of communicating between the Alliance and its members.
The Chronic Illness Alliance mainly communicates with its members using email lists and/or individual emails. Unless you have told the Chronic Illness Alliance otherwise, its employees and the Management Committee will use email addresses to send its members notices and information.
The Chronic Illness Alliance will not use or disclose the information you give about your organisation or an individual except:
for the purpose you provide the information;
a purpose related to that reason; or
another purpose to which you have consented. In this case, the consent of the organisation or the individual will be sought for that specific purpose.
You can request a copy of any of the information that the Chronic Illness Alliance has about you or your organisation. If the information is not up-to-date, you can update it and return it by email.
