Much of the powers of attorney information shown on this site was drawn from the first two publications listed, which we highly recommend if you want additional information.

‘Take control, a guide to powers of attorney and guardianship’ produced by the Office of the Public Advocate (OPA) and Victoria Legal Aid. It is a free booklet listing the eight steps to making a power of attorney or guardianship. Download a copy from the OPA web site. It is also available from Victoria Legal Aid (see contact details below).

OPA also produces all their information leaflets in 11 other languages: Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, Greek, Italian, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese. Contact their office or go to their website for more information.

Villamanta Disability Rights Legal Service is a free statewide community legal service that works only on disability related justice issues.
