This is a web-based database entitled “Invisible Illness” which provides information on chronic illnesses experienced by children and young people in Victoria, Australia.

The purpose of the database is to inform teachers and school communities of the impacts of the illnesses on students’ lives and educational performance and to offer strategies to assist them.

Information for each condition has been collaboratively compiled with the relevant state based organisations, and checked by specialist medical teams at the Royal Children's Hospital.

This resource has been funded and supported by the Victorian Department of Education & Training, the Catholic Education Office, the Association of Independent Schools Victoria and the Leukaemia Foundation of Victoria.
