This is a web-based database entitled “Invisible Illness” which provides information on chronic illnesses experienced by children and young people in Victoria, Australia.
The purpose of the database is to inform teachers and school communities of the impacts of the illnesses on students’ lives and educational performance and to offer strategies to assist them.
Information for each condition has been compiled by the relevant state based organisation.
This resource has been funded and supported by the Victorian Department of Education & Early Childhood Development, Catholic Education Commission of Victoria, Independent Schools Victoria and the Leukaemia Foundation of Victoria.
This project was initially conceived of by the Children’s and Young People’s Working Party of the Chronic Illness Alliance
